Chandler Jay is an emerging Piano Pop Artist from Brisbane who is currently living in Melbourne. Chandler Jay has released four original singles, ‘I’m Original’, which was awarded Highly Commended in the Schools Section of the 2018 Queensland Music Awards, ‘My Own Personal Pain’, 'Party In The House' and his latest single ‘Meant To Be’.

Chandler Jay draws his musical inspiration from his idols such as Elton John, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth and Billy Joel and is often compared to Tim Freedman from the Whitlam’s for his unique vocal tones and piano skills.

Chandler Jay’s parents noticed his talent for singing and playing the piano at the age of 5. After enrolling him in vocal and piano lessons, it wasn’t long before Chandler Jay’s teachers learned of his gift. Now he is trained up to his Grade 5 in Piano Performance and Grade 3 in Theory of Music.

When Chandler Jay was 10 years of age he wanted to sing and perform to audiences, so he started busking every weekend in and around Brisbane at Farmers Markets. This would be where Chandler Jay would continue to practice and hone his craft and continues to do so.

In 2019, Chandler Jay completed a Certificate II in Music Industry at TAFE whilst doing his Year 10 schooling. Like many musicians, Chandler Jay also plays guitar, but piano has always been the instrument he connected to on a deeper level.

In 2020, Chandler Jay completed a Certificate IV in Music Industry (Performance) at the Jazz Music Institute and he has continued his piano studies to Grade 6 in Piano Performance and Grade 4 in Theory of Music.
