Hailing from Brisbane is emerging piano pop artist, Chandler Jay. Already with four successful singles behind him, including his debut song ‘I’m Original’ (awarded highly commended in the schools section of the 2018 Queensland Music Awards), ‘My Own Personal Pain’, ‘Party In The House’ and most recent single ‘Meant To Be’, the young singer-songwriter continues to bring his stories to life through music.


Drawing musical inspiration from his idols including Elton John, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Shawn Mendes and Olivia Rodrigo. Chandler’s unique vocal tones and piano skillset have been compared to that of Tim Freedman from The Whitlams.


Chandler is no stranger to the stage having started performing from the age of nine. He has travelled the country competing in country music festival talent competitions where he won several awards. During this time Chandler performed with Tania Kernaghan at the Ballina Country Music Festival and Doug Bruce at both Ballina and Tamworth Country Music Festivals. The exploration of music has helped Chandler develop his craft and discover his love for Pop music. 


With youth on his side Chandler has clocked up over six years of performing regularly at different venues between Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne including recent performances at Moomba Festival, Buskers by the Creek, EKKA, Stones Corner Festival and numerous Agricultural shows across Queensland.


Chandler has achieved incredible educational milestones so far including Grade 5 Piano Performance, Grade 3 Theory of Music, Certificate II in Music Industry, Certificate IV Music Industry (Performance) and a Diploma of Music Performance (Songwriting). Chandler also plays guitar, but through his writing and performances has always been drawn to the piano where he connects most.


An accomplished performer with an enthusiastic soul, Chandler continues to develop and hone his unique sound and is certainly a new pop artist to watch.
